Dr. Vaishali Joshi is Mumbai's most internationally experienced Senior Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, with 24 years of practice spanning Mumbai and London. She completed her Specialist Training Programme in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the London Deanery, achieving CCT — the gold standard UK qualification — and is registered on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council, United Kingdom.

In 2017, Dr. Joshi was bestowed the Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) by the Royal College, London — one of the highest international honours in her specialty, awarded in recognition of 14 years of contribution to the field at an international level.

She holds a European University Diploma in Gynaecological Operative Endoscopy from the University of Auvergne, Clermont-Ferrand, France, and has received BSCCP accreditation as a certified Colposcopist for the diagnosis and treatment of pre-cancerous lesions. APPROACH

Philosophy of Care

Obstetrics and gynaecology involve a great many decisions that have no single correct answer. Whether to attempt a vaginal birth after a caesarean, whether to operate on a fibroid, whether to take hormone replacement therapy — these are decisions where the medical evidence narrows the options but does not choose between them. What decides is what matters to the woman making it.

Dr. Joshi's practice is built around that principle. Options are explained with their risks as well as their benefits, alternatives are set out rather than omitted, and a second opinion is treated as a normal part of good decision-making rather than as a challenge.

Two further commitments follow from fourteen years of UK practice. The first is continuity — the same clinician following the whole arc of a pregnancy or a condition, because subtle changes are noticed by someone who knows what came before. The second is a preference for the least invasive approach that is genuinely safe: keyhole rather than open surgery where the anatomy allows it, medical management before surgical where it will work, and observation rather than intervention where a condition does not need treating at all.

Knowing when not to operate is as much a part of surgical judgement as knowing how.
